Biography

Anna Korhonen is a Professor of Natural Language Processing at the University of Cambridge, co-directing the Language Technology Lab and holding fellowships at the Alan Turing Institute and ELLIS. With a focus on human-centric NLP, she aims to bridge the gap between computational techniques and human cognitive, social, and creative intelligence. This interdisciplinary approach enriches her research collaborations across various fields, particularly in Artificial Intelligence. Before this position, Anna was a Royal Society University Research Fellow and a JSPS postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo. She also has experience as a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania. Anna earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and holds master's degrees in both Computer Science and Linguistics. Her teaching interests include Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing, and she is currently accepting PhD and MPhil students for supervision.
