Dr. Anna Krylova

Biography

Anna Krylova is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Duke University, and she holds a joint appointment in Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies. Her research focuses on historical social theory, gender theory, socialist feminism, and Western Soviet Marxism, especially in the context of modern Russia. Krylova's work addresses the challenges of envisioning socialist alternatives in the contemporary industrial, post-industrial, and post-colonial age. She is the author of 'Soviet Women Combat: History Violence' and has published various articles in academic journals such as Modern Intellectual History, Social History, and the American Historical Review. Her current appointments span over a decade, with significant contributions to both history and feminist studies.
