Biography

Anna Messina is a psychologist and psychotherapist currently working as a Post-doc researcher at the Institute of Public Health of the Università della Svizzera italiana. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Università Cattolica in Milan, Italy, and completed a certification in cognitive-behavioral therapy at Centro di Terapia Cognitiva in Como, Italy. Her doctoral project focused on the cultural adaptation of caregiver training interventions for individuals with dementia in Canton Ticino. Anna is currently collaborating on the project 'Liberi dalle Paure,' funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Her main research interest revolves around exploring and understanding the experiences of family caregivers and providing personalized, appropriate community-level support for them.
