Biography

Anna Pivaty joined Radboud University in 2020, previously working at Maastricht University. Her research and teaching activities are situated at the intersection of law, digital technologies, and social sciences. Anna's work focuses on the digitalisation of criminal justice and the introduction of algorithmic systems into legal procedures, examining their effects on procedural fairness, access to justice, and democratic participation. At Radboud University, she is actively involved in the implementation of the Sector Plan Law in cooperation with Utrecht University and Leiden University. Anna has solid experience in securing external funding for leading research projects with strong societal impact and maintains close contacts with national, European, and international criminal justice professionals and policymakers.
