Dr. Anna Priante

Biography

Anna Priante is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology and Operations Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Her overarching research theme focuses on the social impact of digital technologies, with current research streams including collective action, digitalization in education, and the societal effects of social networks and bots. Anna's work examines social interactions and collective discourses within technological contexts, aiming to identify outcomes that positively impact society. She has published in leading multidisciplinary journals such as New Media & Society, Social Networks, and Nonprofit Voluntary Sector Quarterly, and has presented her research at various international conferences. Anna holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Twente, an MSc in sociology specializing in social research from the University of Twente, and a BSc in Sociology from the University of Trento. She has also served as a visiting scholar at the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
