Biography

Anna Su's primary research areas include legal history, international human rights law, comparative constitutional law, technology and international law, and law and religion. She currently serves as the Research Lead at the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society at the University of Toronto. Anna is also a Fellow at the Nootbaar Institute on Law and Religion at Pepperdine University School of Law. She earned her SJD from Harvard Law School, where her dissertation received the John Laylin Prize for its contribution to international law. Previously, she held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Baldy Center for Law and Social Policy at SUNY Buffalo Law School and was a graduate fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University. Anna has experience working as a law clerk for the Philippine Supreme Court and as a consultant for the Philippine government on peace negotiations with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. She holds cross-appointments in the Department of History at the University of Toronto. Anna's teaching includes courses in Constitutional Law and Legal Methods.
