Dr. Anna Trzcinska

Biography

Anna Michalina Trzcinska, DMD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Chicago. She specializes in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and has completed additional training in Head and Neck Thyroid Pathology. Dr. Trzcinska is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and the North American Society of Head and Neck Pathology. Her research is focused on the analysis of AI foundation model features that decode the histopathologic landscape of HPV-positive head and neck squamous cell carcinomas and various novel histologic features related to tumors such as ameloblastoma and adenoid cystic carcinoma. She is involved in comprehensive molecular profiling of sinonasal teratocarcinosarcoma, highlighting critical genetic mutations. Her publications have contributed significantly to the understanding of clinical histopathologic characteristics of emerging pathologies, and her work encompasses deep learning applications in pathology research. Dr. Trzcinska received her DMD from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
