Dr. Annalisa Viati Navone

Biography

Annalisa Viati Navone is a researcher at the Archivio del Moderno, part of the Università della Svizzera italiana. Since 2006, she has been involved in scientific coordination and the direction of international research projects focusing on the intersection of architecture and its historical context. Her academic path includes a PhD from the Institut d'Architecture University of Geneva, where she worked under the guidance of Bruno Reichlin, culminating in a thesis on the villa ‘La Saracena’ by Luigi Moretti. Annalisa has held various academic positions, including Associate Professor at ENSA Versailles and has contributed to multiple Master’s programs, particularly in architectural research. She has been engaged in numerous research projects that emphasize the influence of Italian-Swiss architects in the 20th century and the critical analysis of architectural practices. Her exhibition curation work further illustrates her commitment to architectural discourse, presenting works and studies on significant figures within modern architecture. Viati Navone’s research interests extend to the methodologies of architecture history and the constructive relations between architecture and other artistic forms, showcasing her versatile contributions to the field.
