Annalyse Moskeland is a PhD candidate in Environmental Policy Development at the London School of Economics, where she began her studies in January 2022. Her research focuses on the rapidly evolving urban trade of wild meat, also known as bushmeat, with a particular emphasis on the drivers of consumption and the shifting consumption behaviors and perceptions of health risks among city-based consumers. This work was conceptualized in response to a widespread call to ban the wild meat trade following the outbreak of Covid-19. Before her time at LSE, Annalyse received a B.S. in Biology from Cornell University and an M.S. in Conservation Science from Imperial College London. She has worked as a research assistant at the University of Oxford’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Conservation Science and at the International Institute for Environment and Development. Additionally, she has held science outreach positions at Cornell University’s Laboratory of Ornithology.
