Biography

Anne-Marie Boisvert is a specialist in criminal law and has been a professor at the Faculty of Law at the Université de Montréal since 1986. She served as Dean of the Faculty from 2004 to 2008 and as Vice-Rector for Human Resources Planning from 2010 to 2015. She has published numerous articles focusing on criminal responsibility, with a particular emphasis on issues like fraud and the criminal responsibility of legal persons. Boisvert has been actively involved in the legal community, serving as President of the Criminal Law Committee of the Barreau du Québec, where she chaired a working group mandated by the Quebec Ministry of Public Safety to review provincial policies. She also presided over the group of experts tasked by Public Safety Canada to evaluate the performance of the Integrated Market Enforcement Teams (IMET) from 2013 to 2014. An editor for the Canadian Criminal Law Review since 1996, she has made significant contributions to the field through her research and academic output.
