Dr. Anne Marie Brouwer

Biography

Anne-Marie Brouwer is a Professor at Radboud University with an endowed chair in Artificial Intelligence and associated with the Donders Centre for Cognition and the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour. She also holds a position as a senior scientist at the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO). Her research primarily focuses on the integration of cognitive and emotional states through physiological signals and implicit behavior. She utilizes neurocognitive, psychophysiological, and psychological research methodologies to measure signals such as EEG, skin conductance, eye movements, and facial expressions to understand the underlying cognitive and emotional processes. Brouwer's work employs a multi-modal approach, incorporating wearables and advanced equipment to achieve effective performance through easily measurable signals. Her areas of expertise include affective computing, neuroadaptive technology, and neuroergonomics, as well as attention, workload, arousal, and valence assessment.
