Dr. Anne Marie Laflamme

Biography

Anne-Marie Laflamme is a full professor at Laval University, Faculty of Law, specializing in labor law, health law, and occupational safety and health since 2006. She served as Dean of the Faculty from 2017 to 2025 and took the position of Secretary General of Laval University in July 2025. Laflamme has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1985 and practiced labor law before transitioning to academia. Her research interests include the integration and retention of persons with disabilities in the workforce, mental health at work, and the impact of new forms of employment on workers' health and safety. She is affiliated with the Center for Interuniversity Research on Globalization and Work (CRIMT) and frequently presents at conferences both in Canada and internationally. Laflamme has authored significant works, including a monograph on the right to mental health protection at work. Her administrative and scientific roles include numerous board memberships and significant contributions to legislation on workplace harassment and sexual violence. She has received various awards for her commitment to advancing women's rights in the legal profession and was honored with the Christine-Tourigny Award in 2025 for her remarkable professional journey and social impact.
