Biography

Anne Bracy is an Associate Teaching Professor at Cornell University in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. She obtained her B.S. in Symbolic Systems and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, followed by a Ph.D. in Computer Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Bracy has over 15 years of teaching experience focused on introductory programming, systems programming, computer architecture, and digital logic. Before joining Cornell, she served as a principal lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis and was a research scientist in the Microarchitecture Research Lab at Intel Labs in Santa Clara, California. Moreover, she is a senior member of IEEE and has played an active role in the Faculty Board of the Women in Computing Community, participated in the Faculty Institute for Diversity in 2016, and is a faculty advisor for Cornell Mundial FC. Her contributions to education have been recognized with several awards, including the Cornell Engineering Excellence in Teaching Award in 2017 and the ACSU Faculty Member of the Year in 2016.
