Associate Professor Anne Fletcher heads the Stromal Immunology Laboratory at Monash University. Her research group focuses on the study of fibroblasts and their immunological roles in health and disease. She completed her PhD in Immunology at Monash University, where she researched thymic stromal cells and autoimmune diseases under Professor Richard Boyd. Her research centers around fibroblast-like stromal cells found in secondary lymphoid organs and tumors, investigating their roles in guiding leukocyte interaction and function. This work aims at developing therapeutic strategies targeting these cells to manipulate immune responses in cancer.
