Dr. Anne Kearney

Biography

Anne Kearney is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she specializes in nursing. With degrees from Memorial University and the University of Toronto, her research interests encompass breast screening, evidence-based nursing, interprofessional education, and collaboration. Over her career, Dr. Kearney has led several research projects, including those funded by the Department of Health and Communities Services and the Canadian Patient Safety Institute. Her work has focused on the psychosocial needs of women undergoing breast surgery, and she has produced numerous peer-reviewed publications in renowned journals. Dr. Kearney's contributions to healthcare education include her role as a co-director of the Centre for Collaborative Health Professional Education, where she promotes collaboration and innovation in health education.
