Biography

Anne Marx graduated in Computer Science from ETH Zurich, specializing in Machine Intelligence and Visual Computing. Her academic work encompasses research in explainable AI, interactive AI systems, and multimodal in-the-wild data, alongside a focus on personalizing large language models. While pursuing her studies, Anne also garnered practical experience as an AI engineering consultant, specializing in strategy and enterprise application integration. As a member of the ETH juniors, she took on the role of project manager for various industry projects. Currently, she is enrolled in an interdisciplinary PhD program at the ETH AI Center, where she concentrates on human–AI collaboration in manufacturing contexts. Her research aims to tackle complex, non-automatable problems by utilizing human-in-the-loop methods. Methodologically, her interests span Augmented Reality, interactive systems, explainable AI, and Vision–Language Models.
