Anne Metje van Genderen earned a Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Master degree in Drug Innovation from Utrecht University. As of March 2024, Anne Metje holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacology at the Utrecht Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Utrecht University. Her research primarily focuses on mimicking kidney functions in vitro to study diseases and work toward innovative therapies, specifically exploring (bio)materials that can guide kidney maturation in efforts to build tissue that can partially replace kidney functions.
