Dr. Anne Nederveen Pieterse

Biography

Anne Nederveen Pieterse is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. She earned her PhD from the same institution, where she has developed a keen interest in various aspects of organizational behavior including leadership, self-management, team dynamics, goal orientation, team diversity, and innovation. Her research examines how these factors influence team effectiveness and organizational success, particularly in the context of autonomous teams. Nederveen Pieterse has contributed to a body of work that critically evaluates the functioning of self-managing teams within organizations, shedding light on common pitfalls and the implications of team composition on performance.
