Biography

Anne Parkinson is a sociologist and health services researcher with expertise in qualitative research. She has been with the Australian National University (ANU) since mid-2012, following her work at the Australian Primary Health Care Institute (APHCRI) until its closure in 2015. At ANU, she is part of the Health Experience Team, which is led by Associate Professor Jane Desborough. The team's focus is on embedding the perspectives and experiences of individuals living with multiple sclerosis, chronic conditions, and their families into research. Parkinson supervises research students and has a PhD from Griffith University. Her research interests include consumer engagement, patient public involvement in research, patient experiences in healthcare, and qualitative research methods, particularly in the area of primary health care.
