Dr. Anne Scoular

Biography

Anne founded London-based consultancy Meyler Campbell, trains senior leaders to become coaches – a key skill for 21st century leadership. She is the author of the bestselling Financial Guide to Business Coaching, and has been named by Harvard Business Review as one of the five leading experts in executive coaching worldwide. Anne is a founding fellow of the Harvard Institute of Coaching and a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. Her article 'The Leader Coach', co-authored with Professor Herminia Ibarra, was published by Harvard Business Review in 2019 and won the Warren Bennis Prize for the top-rated HBR article on leadership that year. Originally a diplomat and international banker, Anne has worked on management change projects in Asia, North America, and the UK, assisting individuals and teams in fast-growing companies and professional service firms, retraining mid-career psychologists. Her current research interests include applying insights from psychology and neuroscience to leadership development, as well as exploring the deep processes underlying change in the fast-moving field of female leadership. Additionally, she is an award-winning writer in medieval history.
