Biography

Anne Seidlitz studied Pharmacy in Greifswald and became a licensed pharmacist in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, she worked as a scientist and later as a group leader in the galenic development at Arzneimittel Werke Altona AG in Hamburg. Following this role, she returned to Greifswald University, earning her doctorate in Pharmaceutical Technology in 2009 and habilitating in 2015. She also served as a Qualified Person in the hospital pharmacy of the Universitätsmedizin Greifswald. After holding visiting professorships at the University of Hamburg and Friedrich Schiller University Jena, she was appointed as a professor for Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in 2021. As of October 1, 2024, she has accepted a position at Freie Universität Berlin as a professor of Pharmaceutical Technology. Her research focuses on formulation development with an emphasis on solid dosage forms and the biorelevant investigation of drug release. Anne Seidlitz is a specialist pharmacist for Pharmaceutical Analytics and Technology and is also active in continuing education. She is involved in various professional organizations such as the Working Group on Pharmaceutical Process Technology (APV) and the EUFEPS Network on Bioavailability Biopharmaceutics.
