Biography

Anne Sereno is a Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University, where she also holds a joint appointment as a Professor in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. She is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the IU School of Medicine. Her research spans a wide range of disciplines including neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and biomedical engineering, focusing on understanding and characterizing the physiological mechanisms of attention and short-term memory, as well as the programming of eye movements. Through her lab, Sereno Lab, she leads innovative research aimed at diagnosing and treating disorders that disrupt cognitive and motor function. She is the founder and manager of CogNeuro Solutions LLC and serves as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Integrative Neuroscience. Sereno earned her PhD in 1991 from Harvard University and has been dedicated to advancing knowledge in her fields of expertise ever since.
