Dr. Anne Stafford

Biography

Anne Stafford joined Alliance Manchester Business School in 2004. Her prior academic roles include lectureships at UMIST and Birmingham City University. She has five years of experience working as a management accountant in industry and commerce and is a qualified accountant with thirty years of lecturing experience in financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and corporate governance for a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional executive students. Stafford has served as a member of ACCA’s Global Forum and the Public Sector committee member at CIGAR, as well as being a committee member of BAFA's Special Interest Group for Public Services and Charities. Her research interests focus on critical historical analysis of institutions and accountability, with current projects exploring financial analysis in public policy, particularly the UK's Private Finance Initiative and Public-Private Partnerships. Her work has been cited in submissions to governments and organizations such as the OECD and the World Bank, and she has contributed to major publications from the British Academy of Social Sciences.
