Dr. Anne Todgham

Biography

Anne Todgham is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of California, Davis. Her research primarily focuses on understanding the physiological strategies aquatic animals use to cope with environmental change, particularly in the context of global climate change. Dr. Todgham's program addresses critical questions regarding the physiological flexibility required for aquatic organisms to withstand unprecedented rates of environmental change. She is particularly interested in how these organisms respond to multiple stressors expected from climate change, such as increasing temperature, hypoxia, changes in salinity, and ocean acidity. Her research also involves guiding students and postdoctoral researchers to understand how animals balance the energetic demands placed on them by these stressors.
