Anne Trépanier is an award-winning author, teacher, and historian specializing in historiography. As a passionate educator and guest speaker, she has significantly contributed to the academic landscape at Carleton University. Trépanier's doctoral research focused on recurring historiographical debates, advocating the idea of 'refoundation' to examine narrative rhetorical structures and 'textual events' within the canon of Quebec's history. Her work interrogates themes of belonging, national representations, identity narratives, and textual archaeology. Currently, she critically explores representations of Canadian and Quebec histories through theatre and museum exhibitions. As a Carleton teaching fellow, she received the International Teaching Award from D2L in 2019. Trépanier frequently collaborates on public history projects and is an active member of the Association internationale des études québécoises. She is also affiliated with the Centre de recherche en civilisation canadienne-française at the University of Ottawa. Trépanier organizes academic conferences and is working as a historian for the play 'L'empire du castor,' collaborating with notable playwrights. Aside from her scholarly pursuits, she is the organizer of the annual Francophone literary festival 'Ça Jase en Tiguidou' in Rome.
