Anne van Ewijk earned her PhD in Political Social Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain, in 2011. Her thesis involved a qualitative study comparing diversity policies among European regional police forces, particularly focusing on the Mossos d'Esquadra in Spain and the Politie Utrecht in the Netherlands. Between 2007 and 2011, she worked as a management consultant at Samhoud and KPMG in both Spain and the Netherlands, where she advised organizations on change management, team building, and leadership development across various sectors including coatings, finance, and education. In 2015, she returned to academia, taking on the role of Assistant Professor at Abu Dhabi University, where she was later promoted to Associate Professor of Management. She has taught courses in (International) Business, Leadership, and Qualitative Research Methods at undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive levels. In 2021, van Ewijk joined Utrecht University School of Economics as a departmental lecturer, working on innovative ways to measure the impact of entrepreneurship education.
