Biography

My research focuses on the formation and evolution of galaxies, with a particular study of the cosmic reionization era. I conduct numerical simulations of radiative transfer in virtual galaxies to establish promising observables for studying the sources of reionization. I obtained my PhD in 2008 from the Department of Astronomy at the University of Geneva, supervised by Professor Daniel Schaerer. Following my doctoral studies, I undertook my first postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Astronomy at the University of Oxford supported by a FNS mobility grant, followed by a second postdoc at the Centre de Recherche en Astrophysique de Lyon (CRAL) through a Marie Curie European grant. Since 2012, I have returned to Geneva, initially as a Maître Assistante with a UNIGE Excellence grant, then with FNS MHV funding. Since March 2018, I have held the position of Assistant Professor supported by a dual funding: an ERC starting grant and as an FNS professorship. I lead a team of 4 PhD students, 4 post-docs, and one Maître Assistant.
