Biography

Anne Désiré Vitger is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Copenhagen University, graduated in 1989, and completed her PhD in 2016. She has multiple certificates in specialized fields, including canine and feline diseases (2002), small animal physiotherapy (2008), veterinary chiropractics (IAVC) (2010), and veterinary acupuncture (IVAS) (2017). Since 2008, she has been responsible for the rehabilitation section at the university's veterinary department. Her current research focuses on increasing physical activity in overweight dogs as part of her PhD project. She is a member of the Biomechanics Research Group, contributing to research in canine rehabilitation, fitness, biomechanics, and obesity. Additionally, Anne has experience in teaching rehabilitation and chronic pain management, reflecting her commitment to enhancing the quality of care in veterinary practice.
