Dr. Anne Yee

Biography

Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Monash University, Anne Yee extends her expertise as a Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist at KPJ Puteri Johor. With a rich academic background and clinical experience, she was previously an Associate Professor and Clinical Psychiatrist at the University of Malaya, where she played a pivotal role in research initiatives at the University Malaya Center of Addiction Science (UMCAS). Anne led the Nicotine Addiction Research Group (NARCC) and has actively contributed to improving societal well-being through her various roles in academic organizations, including serving as the Honorary Secretary of the Addiction Medicine Association Malaysia (AMAM) and being an active member of the Care Warriors Association. Her clinical practice primarily focuses on men's health regarding addiction treatment, reflecting her commitment to addressing high prevalence issues, such as smoking and alcohol use among men. Anne has received numerous grants for her research on dual diagnoses in addiction and has developed a mobile application tailored for the Malaysian context. She is also recognized for her contributions towards national clinical guidelines for tobacco use and has over 100 academic publications in reputable journals, earning an H-index of 24. Anne frequently shares her insights as an invited speaker at local and international conferences, highlighting her dedication to advancing addiction medicine and psychiatry.
