Dr. Anneli Peolsson

Biography

Anneli Peolsson is a Visiting Professor at Linköping University, where she specializes in rehabilitation research, particularly concerning neck pain and the structure and behavior of neck muscles. Her goal is to improve rehabilitation practices for individuals suffering from neck pain, a condition that affects a significant portion of the population throughout their lives. With an academic career at Linköping University starting in 1996, she has held various positions, including an Associate Professor and a Doctor of Philosophy specializing in Caring Sciences, specifically Physiotherapy Science. She has been actively involved in teaching physiotherapy students and is a prominent supervisor of doctoral, master's, and bachelor's students. Peolsson has published over 50 papers in the field of rehabilitation and contributed to more than 100 scientific conferences. Additionally, she has collaborated with international researchers and was a guest researcher in Australia, enhancing her research network significantly. Her work includes randomized controlled trials and clinical outcome studies, focusing on cervical spine surgery and other neck disorders. Peolsson is also a member of the editorial board for the journal SPINE and serves as a reviewer for various academic publications.
