Biography

Anneliese Synnot is a Senior Research Fellow with the Australian Living Evidence Collaboration. She leads initiatives involving lived experience engagement and contributes to the development of living guidelines, particularly in the context of pregnancy and postnatal care. Her research focuses on enhancing the production and use of evidence in health practices, emphasizing the importance of consumer and patient involvement in systematic reviews and guideline development. Anneliese has extensive experience teaching and mentoring researchers in systematic review methodologies and has been actively involved in the development of living systematic review methods with Cochrane since 2013. Prior to her current role, she worked at the Centre for Health Communication Participation at La Trobe University. Anneliese holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Public Health from La Trobe University, as well as a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from the University of South Australia. Her research interests align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and she is dedicated to ensuring that her work contributes to global efforts to end poverty and ensure sustainability.
