Biography

Annette M. Jackson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery and the Department of Integrative Immunobiology at Duke University. She earned her Ph.D. from Duke University in 2005, and a B.S. from Bemidji State University in 1986. Her research focuses on the B cell response in the context of antibody-mediated rejection and the immunogenetics of organ transplantation. She has been awarded numerous grants from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to study various aspects of kidney transplant outcomes and immune responses. Jackson is also known for her leadership in collaborative projects, including serving as a Project Leader for Data+. In addition to her research, she actively participates in faculty development programs aimed at addressing anti-racism within academic settings.
