Biography

Anni Pues is a Senior Lecturer in International Law at the University of Glasgow. Her research interests span international and transnational criminal law processes, as well as international human rights law, as reflected in a range of publications that include her monograph on Prosecutorial Discretion at the International Criminal Court. Anni's work integrates academic and practical perspectives, having served as a distinguished practitioner of law. She has acted before the International Criminal Court and the European Court of Justice, and has been the lead counsel for victims at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers. Additionally, she engages in training and capacity-building activities for judges, legal practitioners, and academics worldwide. Currently, her research focuses on victims' rights in international law, universal jurisdiction proceedings, and new actors and institutions in the realm of international criminal law. Anni is also open to supervising students in these areas of international law.
