Annie Sandrussi is a political philosopher with expertise in phenomenology, political ontology, and feminist ecological materialism. Her research investigates subjectivities shaped by institutions and worldviews, particularly focusing on the understandings of care and caregiving practices and their political implications. Annie's PhD thesis explored the question of the body and sexual difference through the thoughts of Martin Heidegger, Jacques Derrida, and Luce Irigaray. Annie is currently a research fellow in the Philosophy department at Macquarie University and is affiliated with the Australian Research Council’s Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology.
