Biography

Ansel Hillmer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology specializing in Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on the translational characterization of novel Positron Emission Tomography (PET) radiotracers and the development of innovative imaging paradigms, including drug behavioral challenges that advance the quantification of brain neurobiology. He is actively involved in translational studies examining the neuroscience mechanisms underlying psychiatric conditions. Hillmer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Mathematics, and Humanities from Valparaiso University, completed in 2009, a Master of Science degree in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, obtained in 2011, and a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the same institution, which he earned in 2014.
