Biography

Anselm Kamperman Sanders, born in Doetinchem, Netherlands, in 1968, is a Professor of Intellectual Property Law and the Head of the Department of International Law at Maastricht University. He completed his law studies at Tilburg University and graduated in 1991. Anselm earned his PhD at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Queen Mary, University of London, and has been a Marie Curie Fellow. He joined Maastricht University in 2000 and has held several influential positions including Director of the Annual Intellectual Property Law School and IP Seminar at the Institute of European Studies of Macau. He is actively involved in curriculum development and consultancy projects, particularly in developing countries, and has contributed extensively to the field of Intellectual Property Law. Anselm has served on the editorial and advisory boards of various journals and is an author of significant works in competition law and intellectual property. He also participates in several international committees related to his field of expertise.
