Dr. Anshul Thakur

Biography

Anshul Thakur obtained his PhD from the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi in 2020. His doctoral research primarily focused on pattern analysis of audio signals through dynamic kernels, tensor factorization, and deep learning methodologies. His work significantly contributed to the development of machine learning frameworks that enable acoustic classification and weakly/semi-supervised detection of acoustic events. Additionally, Anshul applied these machine learning frameworks to identify speech articulation disorders. His main research interests revolve around data-efficient deep learning, adversarial attacks, the interpretation of deep learning models, and tensor factorization techniques. Anshul is also engaged in developing machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks aimed at advancing biomedical healthcare applications. Currently, he is involved in projects that leverage knowledge from machine learning and artificial intelligence frameworks to address challenges related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
