Dr. Anthony Bourached

Biography

Anthony Bourached is an Associate Professor at University College London's Department of Culture, Media and Communication and a member of the UCL Centre for Artificial Intelligence. His research focuses on the intersection of Machine Learning and Creative AI, utilizing state-of-the-art generative models to conduct art-historical inquiry. Through his work, he aims to uncover new layers of meaning in cultural artifacts, including endeavors such as resurrecting lost works of Van Gogh and Picasso, as well as creating interactive portraits that have been exhibited in notable venues like the Saatchi Gallery and the Louvre. His research has garnered attention and coverage from reputable sources such as CNN and MIT Technology Review, highlighting its clinical, museological, and creative applications on a global scale. He also holds a non-academic position as the Founder and CEO of Oxia Palus, a company positioned at the forefront of the intersection of technology and art.
