Biography

Anthony David Challinor is a Professor at the University of Cambridge, specializing in Cosmology and Astrophysics. He has been instrumental in the field of theoretical cosmology, focusing on testing cosmological models through cosmic structure and observations. His research interests include the origin, interpretation, and measurement of temperature anisotropies and polarization of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB). As a member of the Core Team for the Planck High-Frequency Instrument and the Simons Observatory, he has worked on key issues such as lensing of the CMB, and constraining important cosmological parameters while searching for B-mode polarization induced by gravitational waves from the early universe. Challinor has held various positions in his career, from being a Royal Society University Research Fellow to a University Lecturer at the Institute of Astronomy and DAMTP. Through his work, he aims to deepen the understanding of the universe's fundamental structures and origins.
