Biography

Anthony Chang specializes in renal pathology and has been a faculty member in the Department of Pathology at the University of Chicago since 2004. He has served as Past-President of the Renal Pathology Society in 2017 and the Chicago Pathology Society from 2011 to 2013. Over the years, he has taught more than 30 educational courses at annual meetings of prominent organizations including the American Society for Clinical Pathology, College of American Pathologists, Canadian Academy of Pathology, American Society of Nephrology, and American College of Rheumatology. His research interests encompass the role of B cells, plasma cells, lupus nephritis, and transplant rejection. Dr. Chang is also involved in editorial tasks for key publications in the field, such as Laboratory Investigation and Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, and has authored around 100 peer-reviewed papers, reviews, and book chapters. His significant contributions to academic literature include chapters in 'Robbins & Cotran: Pathologic Basis of Disease' and co-editing the editions of 'Diagnostic Pathology: Transplant Pathology' and 'Diagnostic Pathology: Kidney Diseases'.
