Biography

Professor Anthony Doyle is a leading researcher in experimental particle physics and the head of the Particle Physics Experiment (PPE) group at the University of Glasgow. His work focuses on analyzing data from high-energy particle collisions, particularly in relation to the Higgs Boson and supersymmetry searches. He has been actively involved as a member of the ZEUS Collaboration at DESY and the ATLAS Collaboration at CERN, where he contributed significantly to the search and analysis of the Higgs Boson, utilizing advanced simulation and statistical methods. As the Chairman of the ATLAS Publications Committee at the time of the Higgs Boson discovery in 2012, he played a crucial role in the dissemination of research findings. His experience extends to leading the GridPP project, enabling the management and analysis of petabyte-scale data for particle physics research in the UK, in collaboration with computing scientists and particle physicists working under the UK's involvement in CERN.
