Biography

Dr. Anthony L. Edelman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. He obtained his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Michigan, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Edelman also completed a fellowship in Regional and Obstetrical Anesthesia at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Before joining the faculty in 2017, he spent nine years in private practice in Southeastern Michigan and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. He currently serves as the Associate Chair of Adult Anesthesiology and the MPLAN Anesthesiology Medical Director at University Hospital’s Operating Room. Dr. Edelman is engaged in research and clinical practices aimed at improving perioperative care quality and patient safety. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and running.
