Biography

Anthony Estienne holds a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, specializing in physiology and cellular biology from the University of Reims, France (2009). He obtained a Master's degree in reproductive biology specializing in livestock (2011), and a Ph.D. in integrative physiology of reproduction from François Rabelais University in Tours, France (2015). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Montreal (2016-2018) followed by another postdoctoral position at the National Institute for Research in Agriculture, Food and Environment (INRAE), France (2018-2023). Since June 2023, he is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Saint-Hyacinthe. His research primarily focuses on reproductive function, particularly ovarian function, including the regulation of Anti-Müllerian Hormone by Bone Morphogenetic Proteins and its impact on ovarian phenotype across various study models. His recent projects explore the interplay between metabolism and reproduction, particularly in poultry and humans, as well as the effects of certain herbicides on reproduction in these species. His long-term research program addresses fertility issues in dairy cattle, enhancing reproductive biotechnologies and contributing to sustainable agriculture.
