Dr. Anthony Kuo

Biography

Anthony Kuo, M.D., is a distinguished professor in Ophthalmology and Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, where he also serves as Vice Chair and Director of Research Data. His work as a clinician-scientist is centered around corneal and refractive surgery, with a vibrant laboratory program that focuses on developing and translating high-resolution optical coherence tomography (OCT) technologies for ophthalmic use. Dr. Kuo collaborates closely with colleagues at Duke, especially in the development and translation of intra-surgical OCT technologies, significantly advancing the field of ophthalmology. His research has garnered sponsorship from notable organizations such as the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Defense, underscoring the high-impact nature of his work.
