Biography

Anthony Noce joined the Department of Economics at Concordia University in 2019. Prior to this, he was a faculty member in the Department of Economics and Finance at the State University of New York (SUNY) - Plattsburgh from 2014 to 2019. Before his academic career, he worked for 12 years in various federal government departments in Canada including Health and Industry, focusing on economic policy files. He has also represented the Canadian government at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. Dr. Noce has been recognized for his teaching excellence with nominations for various awards at Concordia University, including the Dean’s Award and the President's Excellence in Teaching Award. He has published extensively in economic journals and authored several textbooks on economics, including 'Contemporary Canadian Economic Policy' and 'Principles of Economics.' His current research interests lie in economic growth, environmental interactions, and the role of technology in energy. He is also involved in graduate student supervision for MA and Ph.D. programs at Concordia.
