Biography

Dr. Anthony Train is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Queen's University, where he plays a pivotal role in the family medicine residency program and leads quality improvement initiatives within the QFHT. He has a rich history in rural family medicine, having practiced in Whitecourt, Alberta, and has contributed significantly to leadership roles within Alberta's primary care networks. His research interests focus on patient safety and systematic reviews related to primary care clinical topics, with a keen emphasis on preventive care. After moving to Calgary in 2015, Dr. Train integrated emergency medicine support and was involved in Medical Assistance in Dying. In 2018, he transitioned to Kingston to further his academic career in family medicine and remains an active member of various health initiatives including PEER and the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health.
