Dr. Anthony Visco

Biography

Anthony Gabriele Visco is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University. He serves as the Chief of the Division of Urogynecology and directs the Urogynecology/Pelvic Floor Disorders Research Program. His research focuses on robotic sacrocolpopexy, robotic hysterectomy, and various treatment outcomes for urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. His investigations also explore non-surgical treatments, including the use of Botox therapy for urge incontinence. Dr. Visco is actively involved in innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of women's health. He completed his medical education at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University and has undergone residency training at the University of Rochester, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Over the years, he has received numerous grants from prestigious institutions including the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the National Institutes of Health, demonstrating his commitment to advancing research in pelvic floor disorders.
