Biography

Anthoula Malkopoulou is an Associate Professor in Political Theory at Uppsala University, specializing in democratic thought, conceptual history, voting ethics, and responses to populism and extremism. She is the author of "History of Compulsory Voting in Europe" (2015) and co-editor of "Militant Democracy Critics" (2019). Malkopoulou has also been a visiting scholar at prestigious institutions including Princeton University. As an active contributor to the field, she serves as an associate editor for the journal 'Redescriptions'.
