Biography

Antoine Boivin, MD, PhD, is a family physician and holder of the Canada Research Chair in patient and community partnership. He practices in the Centre-Sud area of Montreal and completed a Master's degree and a PhD in health services research in the UK and the Netherlands. Over the past 15 years, his research has focused on the engagement of patients and citizens in community health care, service organization, and research. He is a co-founder of the Centre of Excellence on Patient and Public Partnership and co-director of the Quebec Learning Health Systems Support Unit, where he leads national initiatives on evaluating patient and public engagement. In 2020, he received the Donald Rice award for vision and leadership from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
