Dr. Antoine Deza

Biography

Antoine Deza is a Professor in the Department of Computing and Software at McMaster University. He holds a distinguished position as a Fellow of the Fields Institute and has served as the Associate Director of the MacDATA Institute from 2018 to 2022. His research primarily focuses on Combinatorial and Continuous Optimization, Discrete and Computational Geometry, and Enumeration Algorithms. He has been involved in various grants including the NSERC Discovery Grant for Linear optimization theory and applications, and has contributed significantly to multiple academic journals including the Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications and Discrete Applied Mathematics. Deza's academic journey includes a Master’s degree from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and a Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, underscoring his robust background in the field of optimization. With a history of impactful research grants and publications, he continues to be a significant contributor to the realm of computational optimization.
